Couple Christa and Hermann Laur found Elektroteile GmbH Oberuhldingen (ETO) in Oberuhldingen, Germany, with a focus on developing and manufacturing transformers, thus laying the foundations for the ETO GRUPPE of today.
ETO is continuously expanding and making deliveries all over the world. This growth can no longer stemmed at the Oberuhldingen site, at which time a branch with a focus on lathing is opened up 35 kilometres away in Eigeltingen.
To safeguard the continued existence of the company, the couple – who don’t have any children – found the Christa und Hermann Laur-Stiftung. To this day, the foundation guarantees that the ETO GRUPPE continues to exist, and supports numerous projects in the region.
ETO lays the foundations for further growth:
The two German sites in Oberuhldingen and Eigeltingen are merged at a new location in Stockach. This results in optimised processes and more room for additional capacities.
Expansion of the company group in Asia and America: ETO now develops and produces in Asia and opens the ETO MAGNETIC TECHNOLOGIES site in Kunshan, China. ETO acquires LDI, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI/USA.
ETO strengthens its presence in America and opens ETO MAGNETIC Mexico in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The largest order in the company’s history pushes the existing plant in Grand Rapids, USA to its capacity limits in terms of space. Relocation to a new ETO plant in Grand Rapids takes place, just three kilometres away from the previous site. The company is now optimally prepared for new growth, as the newly acquired property offers possibilities for expansion.
