Couple Christa and Hermann Laur found Elektroteile GmbH Oberuhldingen (ETO) in Oberuhldingen, Germany, with a focus on developing and manufacturing transformers, thus laying the foundations for the ETO GRUPPE of today.
ETO produces electromagnetic solenoids for hydraulic control technology for the first time.
ETO expands the product portfolio to include AC solenoids.
To safeguard the continued existence of the company, the couple – who don’t have any children – found the Christa und Hermann Laur-Stiftung. To this day, the foundation guarantees that the ETO GRUPPE continues to exist, and supports numerous projects in the region.
ETO expands and opens sites in Naperville, USA and Wrocław, Poland.
Expansion of the company group in Asia and America:
ETO combines its actuator and sensor components and launches an integrated module with pressure sensor and five solenoid valves on the market.
Change of company organisation: ETO structures itself on an international level in the following business units: passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industry.
Production growth in Germany:
Occupation of the new facilities in Stockach is planned for the middle of the year.
Growing customer orders are pushing the existing ETO plant in Kunshan, China, to its limits. A new plant is being built in the immediate vicinity of the previous location. The entire ETO team moves into the new premises at the end of the year.
