The structure of the circuit differs in vehicles with automatic transmission and gear change. To avoid accidental shifting in vehicles with automatic transmission, a fail-safe component – also known as Brake Transmission Shift Interlock or BTSI – must be integrated into the circuit.

ETO pressure sensors for air suspension systems

ETO pressure sensors for pneumatic and electronically controlled air suspension systems (air suspension systems for level control) are used in towing vehicles, semitrailers and trailers. The sensors record the bellows and system pressures of the vehicles. In accordance with the vehicle load, the deflection height of the air suspension can be controlled using supply and exhaust air through the ETO solenoid valves. Tractors and trailers can thus be regulated on all axes and driven with a high level of comfort. As well as this, the combination and tuning of the air suspension with the braking systems creates a substantial safety advantage compared to vehicles without air suspension.

ETO pressure sensors are sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions: The aerodynamically optimised settings reduce the fuel consumption and the emission of exhaust gases.

One of our core competencies within commercial vehicle applications is solenoid valves and pressure sensors for ABS (anti-lock braking systems) and EBS (electronic braking systems), which can be used as individual systems or fully integrated modules. Our solutions are used in truck and trailer applications and enable safe breaking within the customer’s systems.

When it comes to valve stroke and phase switching, significant reductions in consumption and emissions are obtained in modern petrol and diesel engines, whilst at the same time maintaining an advantageous system complexity. This includes using cylinder deactivation as an important downsizing measure, switching the combustion process or internal exhaust gas recirculation, to name just a few methods.
