ETO also supports the muc023

Series electric vehicles usually achieve efficiency values of between 5 and 10 kilometers per kilowatt hour. The latest version of the TU Munich concept vehicle "muc023", on the other hand, achieves a sensational 271 kilometers per kilowatt hour. Two employees of ETO SENSORIC from Nuremberg were also present at the rollout of the e-vehicle in Munich in April, 27, 2023.      

The ETO GRUPPE supports the TUfast Eco Team 2023 for the third year in a row. Once again, pressure sensors from ETO SENSORIC were installed in the innovative e-vehicle. Compared to its predecessor, the new muc023 has been further slimmed down, especially in terms of its overall weight. The weight of the chassis has been reduced by 21 percent, and by as much as 30 percent, so that the total weight of the vehicle is now just 65 kilograms.

In addition, the students have improved the aerodynamics from an already excellent cw value of 0.16 to a value of just 0.13. The car has also been equipped with a more powerful engine. Furthermore, in addition to a more powerful engine, a completely revised electronic system was used, which regulates the power control, distribution and logic even more efficiently than in the past. Finally, the system for autonomous vehicle control was expanded. In addition to cameras and LiDARs, a depth camera and a GNSS sensor are now used for better GPS positioning and navigation.

This means that the muc023 is ideally equipped for the international competitions in which it will be competing against other autonomously driving e-vehicles and where, in addition to autonomous driving, automatic obstacle avoidance and parking are also required. The ETO GRUPPE is convinced: The muc023 is world record-breaking.
